Jonathan is the founder of the Cyborganic Corporation, a San Francisco startup dedicated to creating the first combined real and virtual community space. The virtual component of this dream, the Cyborganic Gardens, can be found on the Web today (http://www.cyborganic.com/). The first real-world community space, the Cyborganic Cafe, will open in SOMA in mid-1996. Since one of Cyborganic's primary goals is to facilitate self-publishing on the Web, maintaining freedom of expression on the Net is of paramount importance to him. Jonathan was hired by Wired magazine in September 1993 to lead development of online ventures. He created the business model, co-wrote the business plan and managed the launch team for HotWired. More recently, Jonathan led the early stages of Internet development for c|net: the computer network (http://www.cnet.com/)
