LIVE BROADCAST OVER THE INTERNET Saturday October 21 the new entertainment company MediaCast will launch a truely virtual nightclub for net surfers around the globe by broadcasting the Mermen live from San Francisco'’s Great American Music Hall. This “netcast” will be the first in an ongoing series of live broadcasts over the internet featuring today’s hottest bands. These “netcasts” will include real-time audio, video, and digitally-produced still photographs which will be available for downloading from the Internet and World Wide Web according to each participants technological capabilities. Saturday’'s program starts up at 11:00 PM (pst) and will feature one of San Francisco'’s leading bands, The Mermen, who have just signed with Mesa/Blue Moon records. Participants will be able to tune into MediaCast’s web page at http://mediacast.evolve.com/ before the show for all the details on how to best receive the transmission on their computers. They can then sit back from the comfort of their own homes while they navigate through MediaCast’'s web site via video and still images of the Mermen live onstage. They will also be able to call up interviews with the band members, check out the band'’s home page, and even log onto the up-coming schedule of events on the G.A.M.H. web site.
