The Mermen Live @ KFJC - May 25, 1996

On May 25, 1996, The Mermen once again returned to the KFJC studios for another in what has become a running string of live performances from the South Bay Area college radio station.

Hosted by the well-known surf music authority (and regular KFJC DJ) Phil Dirt, The Mermen performed new material and did a midshow interview break (which featured rare pre-drummer Mermen tracks). A small studio audience watched (and listened) while KFJC radio listeners (and longtime Mermen fans) set their tape decks on record.

This special concert also marked the launch of The Mermen's fourth cross country tour, for which they departed immediately after the performance. We invite you to listen to the show and interview in their entirety via RealAudio and also peruse digital photos from the performance. Simply click on the appropriate text or image.
